Compose a face-and-product frame
Choose an uncluttered background and leave space beside your face to hold the product. Check the real phone preview instead of assuming the mirror shows the recorded frame.
Move the product through the positions you will use. If the label becomes too small to read, plan a separate close-up rather than pushing it toward the camera during every sentence.
Test reflections and product detail
Turn the packaging slightly while watching the preview to find an angle with less glare. Keep the light consistent between your introduction and demonstration.
Review a short test at normal playback size. Check whether the label, applicator and result are visible. A close-up that looks sharp in the preview may still need a retake after playback.
Use tracking for the presenter
With Trackd Solo Lock, select the presenter and keep a clear view of that person from a fixed mount position. Avoid putting a large object directly between your face and the phone.
For a product-only shot, arrange a fixed camera view. Solo Lock is not object tracking and cannot guarantee a label stays centred or readable.
Make the sequence easy to follow
Record the product introduction, demonstration and result as distinct steps. Keep the product position consistent across cuts where possible.
Review the recording, export the selected clips and add any labels or captions in your preferred editor. Watch the final video on a phone to check small text before posting.
Keep comparisons visually consistent
If you show a before-and-after result, keep the camera position, light and framing consistent so viewers can compare the images. State when a clip is a separate take. Avoid changing filters or lighting in a way that makes the product demonstration misleading.
For a label close-up, test the exact recorded image rather than relying on a mirror or live preview. Turn the packaging to reduce glare, leave time for the viewer to read it and check the exported clip at phone size.

Can Solo Lock track a skincare bottle?
No. It follows a selected person. Use a separate fixed close-up for the bottle, label or texture.
Can I use Trackd tracking inside Instagram?
Film in the Trackd app and export your recording, then import it into Instagram. Tracking does not run inside Instagram.
