Lighting considerations
Indoor sports halls vary wildly. Newer purpose-built futsal venues have bright, even LED lighting that's easy for any modern phone camera. Older school halls have warm halogen lighting that can look orange on phone sensors. Trackd doesn't change the lighting; it uses the iPhone's native handling. Most iPhone 12+ models do well in both. If the venue is unusually dim, mount slightly closer to be sure the AI detection still resolves the ball.
Indoor tracking specifics
Futsal balls are smaller and lower-bounce than soccer balls, which actually helps the AI tracking — the ball stays in a more predictable range. The faster end-to-end pace is the bigger challenge, and that's exactly what the 30 to 50 Hz BLE control loop is tuned for.
