Export a recording

Choose export quality, follow progress, save to Photos, share, and free space safely.

Choose export quality

Open Settings
Under Recording, tap Export Quality.
Choose a size
Use High for most detail, Standard for a smaller file, or Compact for the smallest file.
Return to the session
Open Review and tap Export.

Quality	Best for
High · 1080p	Best detail and larger files
Standard · 720p	A balanced everyday copy
Compact · 540p	Faster sending and smaller files

Tap Export
Trackd uses the current edit, rotation, video shape, and export quality.
Watch progress
Keep the app open while the percentage and time remaining are shown.
Wait for complete
Do not close the export sheet until Export complete appears.
Try again if needed
If export fails, free storage, keep the phone cool, and tap Try again.

Keep the original session while checking the error. Exporting the video and saving the finished file to Photos are separate steps.

What you see	Next check
Not enough storage to export	The iPhone needs free local storage to create the exported file. Check available iPhone storage; cloud storage does not replace local working space. Preserve this session and only clear other files you have safely copied.
Export complete, then Failed to save	The export finished, but saving to Photos failed. Check Trackd's Photos permission and available iPhone storage. Try Save to Photos again, or use Share export to save or send the finished file.
Reader:, Writer:, or Export failed:	Note the complete message after the prefix and whether the session still plays in Trackd. That helps distinguish a source-video problem from an output/storage problem; the prefix alone does not prove the cause.

Finish export
Wait for Export complete.
Verify the copy
Play the saved or shared result from start to finish.
Tap Delete raw footage
Use this only when you no longer need the original source for a new edit.
