Zoom, framing, and Auto Zoom

Use the manual zoom rail

   Find the rail

   Open Record and use the vertical zoom control beside the camera preview.

   Slide gently

   Move towards a larger number for a closer view or a smaller number for a wider view.

   Return to 1×

   Double-tap the zoom rail to return to 1×.

   Check both ends

   For games, leave enough room for play to move quickly across the frame.

Use optional Auto Zoom in Solo Lock

Solo Lock offers optional Auto Zoom after recording setup is complete. It starts off; turn it on only when you want Trackd to adjust zoom around your selected person. Group Sports uses the manual zoom rail in the released app.

   Finish Solo setup

   Choose Solo Lock and complete its setup, then select your person using your chosen start method.

   Turn Auto Zoom on

   Tap Auto Zoom Off above the preview. It changes to Auto Zoom On. On a smaller screen, these labels may appear as Auto off and Auto on.

   Check the result

   Watch the preview and make a short test recording to check the framing suits the movement.

   Return to manual zoom

   Tap Auto Zoom On to turn it off, or move the manual zoom rail. Moving the rail in Solo Lock turns Auto Zoom off so you control the frame.

Simple framing rules

• Solo Lock: leave room in the direction the person is likely to move.
• Group Sports: start wider so a fast switch of play stays visible.
• Keep the horizon level and avoid placing the sun or bright lights directly behind the subject.
• Do not crop so tightly that hands, feet, the ball, or field lines disappear often.
