Zoom, framing, and Auto Zoom

Use the manual zoom rail

   Find the rail

   Open Record and use the vertical zoom control beside the camera preview.

   Slide gently

   Move towards a larger number for a closer view or a smaller number for a wider view.

   Return to 1×

   Double-tap the zoom rail to return to 1×.

   Check both ends

   For games, leave enough room for play to move quickly across the frame.

Automatic zoom (not currently available)

Automatic zoom is still being tested and is turned off in the production app. Use the manual zoom rail for every recording.

   Set the frame yourself

   Use the zoom rail before recording.

   Leave room for movement

   Start a little wider when play can move quickly.

   Check during breaks

   Adjust the rail only when the frame clearly needs to be wider or closer.

Simple framing rules

• Solo Lock: leave room in the direction the person is likely to move.
• Group Sports: start wider so a fast switch of play stays visible.
• Keep the horizon level and avoid placing the sun or bright lights directly behind the subject.
• Do not crop so tightly that hands, feet, the ball, or field lines disappear often.
