Record a game with Group Sports

Set up Group Sports

1. 1

   Open Record

   Tap the setup pill and choose Group Sports.

   Choose the sport

   Select the exact sport being played.

   Choose mount placement

   Select where the tripod actually stands.

4. 4

   Aim at the centre

   Use the guide to point Trackd at the middle of the field or court, then confirm.

5. 5

   Show the far end

   For an off-centre setup, tell the app whether the far end appears left or right.

   Start recording

   Tap the red button and check the timer.

Sports and mount placements

Choose the label that matches the tripod position shown in your app.

Halfway configuration

1. 1

   Place the tripod

   Stand level with the middle of the long sideline or court edge.

2. 2

   Face the centre

   Point the phone straight towards the middle of play.

3. 3

   Check both ends

   Make sure the mount can turn towards each end without a wall, fence, cable, or spectator blocking it.

Around One-Third configuration

1. 1

   Place the tripod off-centre

   Stand between halfway and one end, beside the long boundary.

2. 2

   Aim at the centre

   Follow the on-screen centre guide before confirming.

3. 3

   Choose the far end

   Select left or right based on the camera preview, not where you are standing.

Goal Line configuration

1. 1

   Use only when offered

   This position is available for Rugby Union, Rugby League, and AusTag/Touch.

2. 2

   Stay outside the playing area

   Leave a safe gap behind the goal line or baseline.

3. 3

   Tell Trackd the far end

   Choose the direction the far end appears in the preview.

Check the frame

• Use landscape orientation for Group Sports.
• Keep the horizon level and the full playing width visible at the centre position.
• Group Sports starts from the red button; no palm gesture or person selection is needed.
• Use the zoom rail if you want a wider or closer view.
