Set up Broadcast View
Set up the supported Soccer or Basketball broadcast view at the correct height and position.
Choose the correct Broadcast setup
Broadcast View sits inside Group Sports and currently has two different hardware and calibration setups.
- Soccer Broadcast: use a separate 4 m tripod at halfway and a second iPhone or iPad for field calibration.
- Basketball Broadcast: use a 183 cm tripod at halfway and calibrate on the mounted recording iPhone.
- The 170 cm Trackd Tripod is for standard Trackd setups; it does not match either Broadcast View calibration height.

Video comparing the complete Soccer and Basketball Broadcast View setup flows.
Soccer Broadcast View
Choose the setup
Open Record → Group Sports → Soccer → Broadcast View.
Use the required position
Place a suitable 4 m tripod at halfway. Complete phone and mount checks before raising it.
Connect the operator device
On the second device, open Settings → Broadcast Operator. Enter the six-digit code shown by the recording phone and wait for Broadcast Remote.
Calibrate the field
Complete the field-calibration prompts on the Broadcast Remote device.
Test the result
Choose the output, record briefly, and check the full field before the match starts.
Basketball Broadcast View
Choose the setup
Open Record → Group Sports → Basketball → Broadcast View.
Use the required position
Place a suitable 183 cm tripod at halfway and use landscape orientation.
Calibrate on the recording phone
Follow the six-point guide on the mounted iPhone to mark both hoops and the four court corners.
Test the result
Choose the output, record briefly, and check the full court before the game starts.
Choose the output shown in the app
- Record only: saves the session without a live viewer link.
- Live without scoreboard: shares the live picture without score or clock controls. The remote may disconnect and reconnect without stopping recording, tracking, or live video.
- Live with scoreboard: uses the Broadcast Remote for score and time controls. Keep it nearby when those controls are needed.
During the broadcast
- Watch the recording and connection status, not only the video preview.
- Do not lower, move, or touch an elevated tripod while people are below it.
- If the remote leaves range, recording, tracking, and live video can continue; reconnect it when safe.
