To record a netball game, put the camera beside the side line level with the centre third, raise it so the near players don't hide the far side, frame both goal circles in landscape, and start recording before the first centre pass. With a standard match lasting at least 76–80 minutes from first to last whistle, the hard part is keeping the camera on the play for that long. A Trackd mount does that automatically.
Before game day
- Check permission. Some associations and venues have filming policies, particularly for juniors.
- Check the fixture. Standard netball is four 15-minute quarters; NetSetGO juniors play 4 × 8 or 4 × 10 minutes.
- Free up storage. Allow about 90 minutes of recording for a standard game once warm-up and held time are added.
- Charge everything. The Trackd Mount runs up to 8 hours per charge and can charge your iPhone while recording.
- Pack the basics: tripod, mount, charging cable with slack for movement, and an umbrella for outdoor courts.
