Sport
Soccer footage without a dedicated camera operator.
Trackd helps soccer teams keep the action framed more consistently so coaches, players, and families get more usable footage from every session.
Setup
Use a stable tripod position with a wide view of the playing area before tightening framing.
Tracking
Automated tracking is especially useful when the ball and players transition quickly across the field or court.
Review
Export footage for highlights, individual review, or team-wide analysis after the session.
Good for team workflows
Trackd is useful when the same setup needs to work across training, match day, review sessions, and player highlight creation.
Built for repeatable setup
A consistent mount position, sport preset, and quick preflight make it easier to capture usable soccer footage every time.
Frequently asked questions
What tripod height do I need to film a soccer match?
We recommend mounting Trackd between 2.5 and 3 metres high on the half-way line, framed wide enough to keep both 18-yard boxes visible at kickoff. The auto-tracking then tightens the frame from there.
Can Trackd handle 5v5 and 11v11 fields?
Yes. The mount uses the iPhone's ultra-wide lens, so smaller pitches stay framed comfortably and larger 11v11 pitches still capture the full field width when mounted at the half-way line.
Does Trackd follow the ball or the players?
It follows the ball as the primary subject and uses player re-identification to anticipate movement. That is different from cameras that lock onto a wearable tag or a single player.
Will it work for futsal and indoor soccer?
Yes. Indoor venues need a slightly higher mount position because the pitch is shorter — see the /futsal-camera guide for the specific setup.
